Visitors to our cutting-edge surgical research facility will embark on a tour that highlights the intersection of innovative technology and advanced medical practices. The tour begins with an introduction to the facility’s state-of-the-art laboratories, where groundbreaking research is conducted. Next, a tour of our surgical suite will offer a comprehensive insight into the world of modern surgery. Beginning with a brief introduction to the history and evolution of surgical practices, the tour takes visitors through various sections of the suite, emphasizing the stringent sterile protocols and safety measures in place. The heart of the suite, the operating room, is showcased with its state-of-the-art equipment, including advanced surgical tools, monitoring systems, and anesthesia machines. Participants learn about the roles of the surgical team, comprising of surgeons, technicians, supporting staff, and how they collaborate during procedures. The tour also covers the pre-operative and post-operative areas, explaining animal preparation and recovery processes. The tour will conclude with a Q&A session, offering an opportunity to discuss our surgical procedures, surgical care, and future trends in surgical technology.

Tour Requirements

The upcoming tour requires participants to adhere to specific health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of our animal colony. One of the critical requirements is that all participants have undergone a Tuberculosis (TB) test within one year prior to the start of the tour. Additionally, participants are required to either have received the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccine or present proof of immunity through titers.
