Kejian Yang, PhD

Senior Vice President, Virology & Vaccine Development

Dr. Yang is a recognized expert in virology and specializes in viral pathogenesis research and vaccine development for a series of human diseases. His expertise spans 30 years of experience in fields including viral pathogenesis research and vaccine development in hepatitis, Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV-2), Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), measles, influenza, rotavirus, Yellow fever virus, Dengue virus, Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis Virus (LCMV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

He has served as a Principal Investigator on multiple Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded research grants and National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants. He also is an active reviewer for various NIH Study Sections, contract reviewing panels and leading peer-reviewed Journals. Prior to Biomere, he was a Research Director at the Oral Vaccine Institute.

Kejian received his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine and postdoctoral training at University of Massachusetts Medical School.
